Hey guys!
With the winter months arriving, we are reminded that there are those in our church neighbourhood that continue to struggle with hardship. Similar to what we did in the summer, this year we will be partnering with Somerset West Health Centre to do a ‘Christmas Give’ by delivering care packages to the needy around our church community. This time around, there will be local drop off locations in Kanata, Nepean, Chinatown, and Orleans. We’ll be gathering on Zoom to hangout while assembling the packages on Saturday Night.
Here is a list of items to pack:
- hot paws (heat packs)
- ensure/meal replacement
- hygiene supplies (razors, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream and body wash)
- new men’s underwear (all sizes needed, size medium is most common)
- new women’s underwear
- men’s socks
- clean towels (these can be gently used)
- warm hats and gloves
- new sleeping bags
- gift cards (Giant Tiger, Loblaws (PC), Tim Hortons, Kowloon) $5, $10, $25 denomination
