(March 7, 2010)

1. A Warm Greeting to all who are here to worship with us this morning. If you are visiting us or if you have not been with us this past little while, welcome to OCAC. Please fill out a visitor’s card so that we may contact you in the future.

2. General Assembly  Pastor Dave will be attending the General Assembly in Turkey and will be away from March 10-23.  Please direct any OCAC matters to elders Dave Y. and James C.

3. Pastor Gerald Ordination  All are welcome to attend Pastor Gerald's Ordination Service on Saturday, March. 27 at 1:30 pm.  Refreshments to follow.

4. Pastor Gerald Installation  There will be a joint service on Sunday., March. 28th at 10:00 am for the installation of Pastor Gerald as CSM pastor.  A luncheon will follow the service.

5. Daylights Saving Time   Sunday, March. 14.  Please be reminded to move your clock forward one hour.

6. ACES Curling  Invite your friends out to experience the excitement of curling, just like in the Olympics, kind of. Location: Nepean Sportsplex Time and Date: 1-3 pm, March 20, 2010 Cost: $4 Please contact Albert C., Mildred, or Ray to sign up.

7. Ambrose University College  The next course in the Life & Leadership Development program titled:"The Christian Faith: The Atonement".  Instructor: Rev. Bernie A. Van De Walle, Ph.D.  To be held on Friday, April 30th 6:30PM-9:30PM and Saturday, May 1st 8:30AM-4:00PM at OCAC.  Please see the insert  for details. Contact : Matthew N. or Denny L.

8. OCAC Building Project Information regarding the building project has been posted on the bulletin board in the foyer.  Please direct any comments to ocacbuildingproject@gmail.com or place them in the ‘Comment Box’.

10. Women's Ministries The International Project - "2nd Chances" is a humanitarian aid project based in Quito, Ecuador.  There will be a video presentation and a special offering on March 21st.  Your financial participation in the project is appreciated. Offering and cheques can be made payable to OCAC and our church will do the transfer for you.

11. Ladies’ Day Apart ‘Shock Proofing the Troops!’ Dealing with the Stress and Busyness of Life. Saturday, April 24 9:30am-3:30pm. at Quinte Alliance Church, Belleville.  Speaker Connie D. Cost: Before April 1, $35, after $45 (lunch included) Inquire/register: Olga G.

Student Ministry

1. No Other Name Youth Rally   April 2nd. 12 - 9:15 pm @ Sacred Heart Catholic School in Stittsvile.  Please register with P. Dave ASAP. There are 4 early bird spots left at $29. After that it is $36. Supper included.

2. SM Adult Helpers Looking for helpers to assist P. Dave in various areas at the Ottawa City-wide Youth Good Friday Rally April 2.  We need ushers, security, first aid and general helpers. 

3. Summer Community Fair. July 24th.  We are still looking for committee members and helpers.  Please talk to Albert C.

4. Fusion Mexico  Aug 27-Sept 6.  Please see P. Dave for applications and information.

Children Ministry

1. Club FrenzE  Sat., Mar., 13, 7:30pm, Church.

2. Teaching Children Effectively – Level 1 An in-depth training for people who love and teach children at home, at church and in their neighbourhood.  Sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship.  Four Friday nights (7:30 – 9:30 pm) and four Saturdays (9:30 am – 3 pm), Apr 9 to May 1, at OCAC.  Class size is limited to 12 students.  Cost:  $150 (OCAC members receive 50% discount).  Registration before March 1 is required.  Contact Cynthia for details and to register.  Previous students may attend to refresh their skills at no cost.  Please inform Cynthia if you wish to do so.

3. Helpers Needed – for babies, preschoolers and Gr. 1-6 for Mandarin Devotional Meeting at EACO, Sat Apr 24, 7:30 – 9:30 pm.  Please see Cynthia before April 1.
