Prayer Tool
(from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
∙ An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power.
There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

Derek & Bonnie Burnett -
Thailand |
- Pray for Derek Burnett as he travels to Roi Et, a centre which just
began a couple of weeks ago. All of the students at this centre are
university students, about 18-19 years of age. Please pray that Derek will
know how to encourage them and challenge them to see if they really have a
fire for leading Christ’s people. Pray also for wisdom for Derek as he
visits Baan Pai where they have two centres without a leader since their
pastor left. Pray for God’s leading as Derek looks for a leader for these
groups.

Lois Belsey -
Indonesia |
- She had a short leave back home in Canada. She was well loved and cared
by her friends. There will be a new co-worker Mary McElhone of Tillsonburg
joining her in Hitadipa in January. Please pray for all of the details for
her visa and travel will go smoothly.

Calvin
and Pearl
Lai - Berlin, Germany |
- In Oct, they had the opportunity to attend the Chinese Alliance World
Fellowship Conference in Taiwan and had times of fellowship and sharing with
more than 100 Chinese pastors and missionaries from 17 countries. Then they
made a side trip to Hong Kong and China. Please continue to pray for
Calvin’s mom that she would understand the gospel and will accept Christ as
her Savior very soon. Please also pray for a few families returning home
from Germany that they will continue to bear good witness for the Lord in
their work place and on campus, their growth in Christ and faithful service
in the Lord. Please also pray for their work in Berlin.

Man Kei Ho - Hong Kong |
- He will be teaching at China Mission Seminary in Hong Kong for 7 months
starting mid December. He will also go to Sichuan University in Chengdu to
speak on Christian doctrine for two weeks in March 2008. Please pray that he
will have a good health and his teaching will benefit the students.
