Women's Ministries Prayer Items Nov 2009

[Current month]

Effective Prayer (from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power. There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

Ann Louie (Netherlands)

Praises God that their moon festival outreach event went very well. Approximately 50 people attended and many of them were seekers. The church members, the student fellowship and the short-term ministry team all worked together in unity. They have invited interested individuals to attend a Bible study group.
Prayer request:
-  Pray that many will attend and come to faith in Jesus.
-  Pray for the two students from China.  Pray that God will open their hearts for Jesus Christ.
-  Please pray for the non-believer couple who are sick.  Pray that they are willing to accept Jesus Christ as personal Saviour.Pray for the preparation of the Christmas Celebration. Pray for the unity of the Christians from the church and the 2 Christian groups.

Bill and Diane Finnemore (Poland)

Bill and Diane report that the presence of God was very powerful during the recent Women’s Encounter. The leaders praise God for answered prayer in helping them through the day, despite the personal and family difficulties that many of them are going through. Each of the ladies who shared their testimony agreed that even though they gave so much that day, they received far more from Christ.  Out of 40 responses received from the new Women's Encounter Ministry held in Warsaw, there were 31 ladies who wrote heart-felt thanks.
Bill and Diane remember having a part in a new church plant eight years ago that started with 80 people. This past Sunday this same church, The Warsaw North Christian Fellowship, celebrated its 8th Anniversary. Today the church has over 600 people who meet in two services each Sunday. Praise God for the great things he is doing in Poland.
Prayer request:
-  Pray also for the next Marriage Encounter on November 27-29.

Ann Stephens (Republic of Congo)

Prayer request:
-  Pray for Anne Stephens and Jay Bellamy (U.S. international worker) as they teach for the next three weeks at the Alliance Bible School in Pointe Noire, and for the national teachers teaching in Brazzaville.
-  Pray that each student will receive from the Lord that which he needs.

Phil and Lorraine Taylor (Canada)

Thanks for praying for Phil and Lorraine, the storm blew itself out before it reached Mumbai and we got away safely.
Prayer request:
-  Pray for Phil and Lorraine as they are tired but trusting God to get them home from India and prepared for the time with Phil's family as well as our own."

Joe and Grace Chan (Canada)

They have a presentation to introduce themselves, their ministry, their praise & pray items available at http://joechan.livebyhim.org/

Mary McElhone (Indonesia)

The Alliance workers and families had thrown Mary a surprise dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate her 60th birthday this Nov.
