Prayer Tool
(from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
∙ An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power.
There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

They promote cross cultural mission among the Chinese Churches and to mobilize
the vision and the needs in Africa. |
- A joint mission night on Oct. 26 organized by 4 International Mission
Organizations – Hong Kong AIM, SIM, WEC and SIL. The participants had a
chance to learn in depth knowledge of today’s Africa and the needs of Gospel
in Africa.
- 10 brothers & sisters from HK will take part in a short term mission
trip to Kenya from Nov. 5-14.
- On Nov 23-24 Angus will speak on “How to equip oneself to be a
missionary” and Carol will speak on “Women ministries in Africa in a mission
training camp.
- A safety journey back to US on Dec 6.
- Pray for God’s blessing on Nathan (their son) and Ashley – the newly
married couple.
- Continue to pray for Stephen’s safety & God’s protection while he serves
in US army in Baghdad.
- Pray for Tryphena’s 4th year studies and the application of nursing
school.
- Ask God to heal Carol’s feet.
- Pray for provision of a new place to stay next year.

Prayer requests: |
- Pray for their youth ministry, as the leaders deal with a number of
serious problems. Pray that the leaders will look to God for wisdom and
direction.
- Pray for unity among the core workers of the church.
- Two days before they flew back to Amsterdam, Christina’s purse was
stolen. She lost her passport & certificate of citizenship. She managed to
leave with a temporary passport. Pray that the replacements of passport &
certificate of citizenship will be done soon.

Northern Thailand |

They serve in the villages in Northern Thailand. Recently they have established
a preaching team consists of several pastors to help the Thailand lu Mien
Church Association. |
- Pray the Preaching Team to have safety travel to the local churches in
the mountains.
- Pray for the TMCA committee and the Preaching Team as they seek to make
decisions to which areas of ministry they could help in and the churches
where the 2-day seminars and conferences to be held in next year (Mar and
April).
- Pray for the financial support to complete several projects they have in
mind – (a)Namlakdai Church -to build a central place where conferences and
seminars could hold (b) San Jarern Church –teaching materials and supplies
for Sunday School (c) Mrs Nai Zoy, the leader of Namlakdai, who need to work
in a Thai town and leave the church if she couldn’t have enough money to
support her daughter’s education in a government school.

Prayer requests: |
- In Province Nakhun Yai, Derek had the privilege of graduating three Saw
Saw Paw students who have faithfully studied at home during the week and
then met together for a few hours each Sunday afternoon to understand the
Bible more deeply and learn how to lead others to do the same.
- Please continue to pray for 3 students: Jirasak, Nikon, and Kamwang.
pray that Christ would increase their heart for serving Him. Jirasak is
leaving for Taiwan to work because he could not find a suitable job in
Nakhun Yai. He’ll be leaving Nikon behind to care for the kids on her own.
Please pray that the Lord will lead them clearly in what they should do and
bring Jirasak home quickly.
- Pastor Rahin married to Garuna last year. Garuna was told she couldn’t
have baby because of complicated health problem. With God’s blessing, Garuna
gave birth to a little girl a few days ago.

They based in Nairobi, Uganda and Tanzania supporting Bible translation and
literacy work there. They also move around among the worldwide Chinese
churches for vision sharing, recruiting and funding for Bible translation &
literacy projects. On top of their work with Wycliffe, they are also leading
some outreach ministries to the Mainland Chinese in Uganda and Kenya. |
- Please pray for their safety in moving around the countries as they have
experienced their laptop and personal documents were stolen and cars were
broken down between travels.
- Dominica’s mother health – she is in Australia & coping well in
dialysis.
- Please pray for their trip to attend the Chinese Mission Convention held
in Philadelphia in Dec/2007.
- CCCOWE will organize the Chinese Mission – Consultation and Action in
Kenya from 3-8/April, 2008. They will assist in the pre-conference Chinese
missionaries retreat, transportation and Sunday program, and the post
conference discovering trips to neighbouring countries. Please pray that the
Chinese churches have a breakthrough and seek to help by partnering missions
in Africa.
