Effective Prayer (from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
∙ An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power. There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

Calvin and Pearl Lai, Germany

They held a baptism on Sept. 27 for 5 people. On October 2, they had an outreach meeting to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Close to 50 people attended with more than half being new comers and non believers. Please pray that the new visitors will want to learn more about Christianity and continue to come to church.

Joseph & Helen Lee, Guatemala

They praised God for the time that He provides for them to be with their family. They had time to rest some and recuperate from lack of sleep and tiredness. PTL also for relatively good results from their health checkups in every area and follow-ups on their health problems.

Pray for continuous refreshing spirit and messages as they travel and report to our churches during the remaining months: October-December 2009 in the Toronto area and Edmonton churches.
Strengthening of their physical, emotional and spiritual life. That they might continue to grow in Christ's likeness.

Bill & Ilana Lobbezoo, Cambodia

The university dorm ministry currently provides housing for 7 male students and 7 female students. It costs about USD$1000/student/year to cover the costs of the ministry. Currently they do not have the funds necessary to sustain the financial demands of the ministry even through this current school year.

Pray that God would provide for their financial needs.
Pray that it will be a good year of spiritual growth in the lives of the residents, and pray for continued enthusiasm for the dorm worship gathering.
Pray for the New Jerusalem Church Building project. Pray that the necessary funding be released in a timely manner to proceed as their current rental lease agreement will expire the end of December. Pray that the leadership would be able to minister in the present as they await the future completion of this facility.
Pray for their safety and good health.
