Prayer Requests

Alliance Women Prayer Items July 2007

[Current month]

Prayer Tool (from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power. There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

Ann and Wing Sung, Waterloo
  1. Wing's outreach workshop on Science and Faith (Mandarin) on July 7 evening (Saturday).
  2. Wing's sermons on July 8 (Gospel Sunday) for both Cantonese and Mandarin congregations.
  3. Ann's sharing at Ladies' outreach meeting on July 12 evening.
  4. Wing's sharing at a Church picnic on July 14 co-sponsored by the Cambridge Chinese Association so there will be quite a lot of non-churched people attending.
Derek & Bonnie Burnett, Thailand
  1. Praise the Lord for healing Rev. Somjai. He is at home and doing much better. Please pray that Jesus will provide the money he needs for his hospital bill.
  2. Pray that the Saw Saw Paw graduates at New Vision will sense God's leading to train others to be leaders.
  3. Pray that the Bible School graduates will continue to walk with Christ and develop a godly character.
Joseph and Helen Lee, Home Assignment
Their departure date for GC has been postponed to August 15. They have been tired due to traveling, but they feel the encouragement as they visit and report to churches both in BC and across Canada. Prayer requests:
  1. Pray that both Joseph and Helen will have a clean bill of health while finishing up with their medical appointment before their departure.
  2. Please pray for their safety on the journey back to Guatemala City.
  3. Please pray for Joseph’s recuperating from eye-lids operation.
  4. Please pray for them as follows: “We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worth of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” (Col. 1:8-10).
Stanley and Rosa Leung, Venezuela
From July 27 to Aug 6, a missions team of 9 people from Toronto Simpson CAC and North Toronto CAC will be hosting the VBS, the Youth program and a Gospel Sunday program. Rev. Stephen Lam will be teaching a course on Friendship Evangelism.
Pray for the preparation work of the team, for reaching out to the children and their families, for the involvement of their members, and for lasting results.
