Prayer Tool (from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power. There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

Angus & Carol Chu, Africa Inland Mission
More than 200 people attended the Africa night event. They were thrilled to see so many HK brothers and sisters who showed interest in ministry in Africa. In Nov. they led ten young professionals to Kenya to explore the mission field, despite some inconvenience such as no electricity or running water, muddy road, they visited two slum areas in Nairobi, prayed with the AIDS patients and orphans. Praise the Lord they led one of Muslim women with AIDS to know and believe in Jesus. Pray for
  1. God’s clear guidance to brothers and sisters who show interest in short or long term ministries in Africa.
  2. Pray for Carol’s health problems, her feet pain is due to her high arches which caused infection , and she has cyst on her left thyroid which causes sleep apnea.
  3. Pray for God’s protection on their son Stephen who is still in Baghdad and for their daughter's Tryphena’s future after graduation, she wants to be completely open to where the Lord leads.
Joseph and Liza Ng, Cambodia
Cambodia is a Buddhist country, the new law in Cambodia forbids the church to hold any Christmas celebration this year. Praise God for the electric drum (given by a brother in the Lord) that attracts more young people to our church. Pray that
  1. The young people in their church will grow in the Lord .
  2. Pray for their three children who are all in Calgary. Simeon and Enoch are working while Lydia is in 3 rd year of International Studies.
  3. Pray for home assignment in February, 2008. May God bless His church and empower their local co-worker couple to take full responsibility when they are away for 3 months.
Philip Taylor, Ethnic groups in Canada
  1. Pray for Philip Taylor’s open heart surgery on Jan 21. Phil will need God's peace and strength to get through the surgery and recovery.
  2. Pray for Lorry (his wife) who needs God to help her and to give her the strength to take care of Phil’s recovery.
