Effective Prayer (from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power. There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

Bill & Ilana Lobbezoo, Cambodia

They had a fun New Year holidays in Bangkok & Ilana’s mother, Mrs Hall had gone to visit them in & out of her business trips to Vietnam. They need to find a new place for the dorm.  A beer garden restaurant is going to be opened in the vacant lot beside their girls's dorm facility and also they want to lower their operating cost.  Keri Karmna, Ambrose On Site intern is working with them and living with the dorm girls this year.  She will return to Canada in early May. Please pray:

  1. A suitable rental location to be found soon and a smooth transition at the end of April for the residents to their new housing.
  2. Pray for continued enthusiasm and for a growing passion among the residents to invite their friends to the dorm worship gatherings. The move will not interrupt people's interest in attending.
  3. The New Jerusalem Church Building project:  the congregation is now worshipping on Sundays in their new but unfinished building.  Their spirits are high in spite of their rustic surroundings; thankful for a place to call their own and looking ahead to how they can use their building.
  4. The intern Keri Karman could find opportunities to encourage and minister to her Cambodian sisters in spite of the language barrier that exists.
  5. Safety and good health for Lobbezoo family and a good transition for the family back to Canada living.  They will begin a year home assignment in July.
Ann & Wing Sung, Short Term Mission Trip, Amsterdam

Wing is having a heavy schedule involved in speaking engagements and seminars in the 3 weeks (Feb 25 – Mar 15) in Amsterdam.  Anne Louie would like them to visit brothers and sisters and non-believing friends as many as they can. After that, they will join the C&MA General Assembly in Turkey and will be back to Ottawa on March 25.  Please Pray for their health, physical stamina and Divine help in facing the challenges at the time.
